I am a NY licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience as a psychotherapist. I was trained at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva Univesity, at Yeshiva University Counseling Center (postdoctoral training) and at VA NY Harbor Healthcare Center, Brooklyn Campus (internship training).
I specialize in treating individuals who are trying to cope with issues of identity and adjustment and who suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, low self worth, or are having difficulties in relationships. More broadly, I provide psychotherapy to individuals who are dissatisfied with their sense of self and interpersonal relationships. Over the years, I have specialized in working with college students and young professionals.
I am trained in several different treatment modalities, including insight oriented psychotherapy (psychodynamic psychotherapy), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma (CPT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). My approach is deeply rooted in interpersonal/relational work and I believe that the therapeutic relationship can be an avenue for self-discovery, insight, and growth.
I believe that successful treatments help clients to address distressing feelings and to better connect to themselves and others. I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment and work collaboratively with each client.
